Warith Al-Anbiyaa Launches the First Phase of the Smart Early Warning System

In its ongoing efforts to enhance digital infrastructure and improve safety and emergency response systems, the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) has launched the first phase of its Civil Defense Early Warning Program. The launch took place during a meeting between the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Waqed Al-Moussawi, and a delegation from the Media Department of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (PBUH).

The program was developed through collaboration between the university’s Information Technology Centre and the Shrine’s Media Department as part of a project aimed at improving emergency response speed and strengthening crisis management within the university campus. The smart system enables real-time monitoring and early alerts, helping to reduce risks and enhance public safety.

This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, by integrating technology into safety infrastructure; Goal 4: Quality Education, by ensuring a safe and well-equipped learning environment; and Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, by focusing on prevention and safeguarding lives within the academic community.

This project forms part of a broader series of digital initiatives undertaken by the university as part of its vision for comprehensive digital transformation, aiming to provide an integrated, secure, and globally competitive academic experience.
