In an international achievement that reflects the excellence of the students of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) and strengthens the presence of Iraqi youth on the global sports stage, Haider Sattar, a student at the university’s College of Medicine, has been selected to represent the Republic of Iraq at the official opening ceremony of the Asian Taekwondo Championship.
The student was chosen from an elite group of only five representatives across Asia, including top coaches, players, and referees, in one of the continent’s most prominent sporting events in taekwondo.
This participation underscores the university’s commitment to supporting young talents and providing a comprehensive academic environment that enhances students’ capabilities at all levels. It aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, by promoting extracurricular activities and personal skill development, and Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, by encouraging sports participation and involvement in international competitions.
This achievement highlights the university’s vision of fostering a generation capable of proudly representing Iraq in diverse fields—academic and athletic—demonstrating the success of its policies in empowering students and expanding their opportunities for community and global engagement.
