The Department of Registration and Student Affairs at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) held an important meeting on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, where several fundamental issues were discussed that aim to improve the quality of services provided to students and prepare for the next academic year.
The meeting began with Professor Muayyad Samir Al-Khafaf assuming the duties of heading the department, where he expressed his aspirations to improve performance and enhance communication with students and employees. He expressed his commitment to working hard to achieve the desired goals.
In order to accommodate the demands of the present work, various procedures and tasks were changed during the meeting and assigned tasks were redistributed to department members. The purpose of this stage is to streamline administrative processes and increase performance efficiency.
In addition, a work preparation plan for the upcoming academic year was created, which featured a new registration system designed to make it easier for students to register and give them the assistance they need. The development of the electronic system was prioritised in order to record data and deliver services more quickly and efficiently.
It was decided to follow up on the necessary updates and changes to ensure keeping up with global developments in the field of higher education when some issues pertaining to the Bologna process were discussed in another context. The challenges and opportunities faced in this context were reviewed.
It is noteworthy that the new graduate system was introduced during the meeting and will take effect on August 1, 2024. The ability to electronically submit graduation documentation is one of the new system's features that helps streamline processes and speed up the acquisition of the paperwork graduates need.
At the end of the discussion, Al-Khafaf emphasised the value of collaboration and teamwork in order to fulfil the objectives, as well as the department's dedication to giving students the best possible support and attending to their administrative and academic needs.
The Networks Division team took a significant step towards improving cybersecurity when they created a strong plan to safeguard the internal network and build the required equipment. This plan calls for installing cutting-edge equipment and meeting all cybersecurity regulations. With these enhancements, the network will be better equipped to fend off cyberattacks and guarantee the stability and security of confidential data.
This initiative is part of a comprehensive development plan for 2024 that aims to fully modernise and develop the technological infrastructure in order to create a safe and stable work environment that preserves information confidentiality and protects it from increasing cyber threats.
These actions are likely to contribute to improving the internal network's cybersecurity, increasing confidence in the digital infrastructure, and helping the organisation achieve its digital transformation goals. These developments are regarded as a critical step towards establishing a strong security system capable of meeting future technological challenges.

2024/05/28The Information Technology Department, in collaboration with the Warith Centre for Entrepreneurship, organised a workshop for first-year students to help them hone and embed their technology and programming skills.
"This course aims to introduce students to the most important technological and programming pathways that students must know to develop their programming and technical skills," stated Dr. Haider Al-Ghanmi, Head of the Department.
"These workshops will continue weekly to enhance students' skills according to the job market," Al-Ghanimi continued.
On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Dr. Talal Faiq Al-Kamali, the dean of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) University's College of Islamic Sciences, conducted an inspection tour of the test rooms. The purpose of the visit is to monitor the status of the final exams and make sure that the right environment is in place for students to complete them easily and without difficulty. Dr. Al Kamali spoke over the process for distributing the exam sheets and the steps taken to guarantee honesty and openness while on the tour. In order to acquire their thoughts on the degree of exam difficulty and the appropriateness of the hall setting, he also had conversations with a number of students.
In addition to highlighting the necessity of everyone following the rules and guidelines set forth to guarantee the efficient and well-organized administration of tests, Dr. Al Kamali emphasised the significance of making sure students have all they need to be comfortable during their exams. As the visit came to an end, Dr. Al Kamali wished the students well in their academic endeavours and thanked all of the faculty members and administrative personnel who are in charge of setting up the tests.
The College of Islamic Sciences at Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) University organised a scientific symposium entitled “The Strategic Importance of the Development Road in Iraq” on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the College Council headquarters. The symposium was presented by Prof. Dr. Jaafar Abdul Amir Aziz in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Talal Faiq Al-Kamali, and the college’s teaching staff.
The symposium discussed the Iraqi development road project, which connects the Gulf in the south to Turkey in the north via a network of highways and dual railways. The symposium indicated that the initial cost of the road is estimated at $17 billion, and it will be implemented in cooperation with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Oman, Iran and Turkey. It is expected that the project will be completed in all its phases, including the Grand Faw Port, by 2050.
The project was designed by the Italian consulting company Progetti Europa & Global (PEG) and will be implemented by Iraqi, Chinese, and Turkish companies. The symposium explained that the aim of establishing this project is to exploit the geographical location of Iraq to facilitate the transport of goods from east to west and vice versa, while reaching Europe via Turkey. The project includes the establishment of integrated industrial cities; additionally, it considers the completion of the Grand Al-Faw Port in all its stages as one of the most important components of its success.
During the symposium, Dr. Jaafar Abdul Amir Aziz pointed out that the project will contribute to spatial development as the road passes through the administrative borders of eleven Iraqi governorates, as well as a number of major Iraqi cities, in the form of stations.
The attendees showed great interaction with the topics raised and the importance of the project in strengthening the Iraqi economy and developing the regions through which it passes.

Under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, and in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Dr. Ali Abd Saadoun Al-Ghazi, the Deanship of the Faculty of Medicine, in cooperation with the “Warith Elevate” team and the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, launched the project (Preparation and Selection of University Medical Ambassadors), which aims to represent the university and the country, whether locally or internationally.
Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Musallam, Medical Education Officer at the College of Medicine, announced that after conducting interviews with a number of college students according to pre-defined criteria, which include leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, in addition to the professional and academic aspects, a number of students were chosen to be university ambassadors.
The Medical Education Officer clarified that this project, which the university adopted to improve students' academic performance as well as their leadership, mission, and professional skills, is the first of its kind at the national and university levels.
During the coronation ceremony, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi stressed the importance of the students’ interest in obtaining education, as they are future doctors who bear a great responsibility before society, in addition to the importance of the leadership and professional aspects of the doctor.

The College of Islamic Sciences at Warith Al-Anbiya University organized a discussion of its students’ graduation research for the academic year 2023-2024, on April 23 and 24, 2024. The discussion sessions witnessed the presence of professors and students who interacted greatly with this important scientific event.
Graduation research discussions included students presenting their research that they worked on throughout the academic year, where they presented their results and discussed their ideas and research before a committee of specialized professors.
The research presented showed diversity in the topics presented, which reflects the level of academic excellence that the college is keen to achieve.
In his speech during the discussions, the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Dr. Talal Faiq Al Kamali, emphasized the importance of this research in enhancing knowledge and deep understanding of Islamic sciences, and its role in preparing a conscious generation capable of effectively contributing to building society. Within the framework of fruitful cooperation between the Center for Continuing Education at Warith al-Anbiya University and the College of Islamic Sciences, a training course was launched on April 6, 2024 entitled “Modern means of payment and their role in revitalizing the economy.”
This session was attended by a group of distinguished professors at the college, and was presented by M.M. Lamia Saad Jawad, in the Council Hall of the College of Islamic Sciences at the university.
The course addressed important topics related to the latest payment methods and their positive impact on stimulating economic activity, which reflects the vision of the Center for Continuing Education in developing the capabilities of academic cadres and promoting scientific research in areas of global interest.
This course is considered an important step towards enhancing knowledge and developing skills in the fields of economics and trade, which contributes to supporting sustainable development and raising the level of academic work at the university.
