Educational Field Trip for Law Students to the Federal Supreme Court

In line with the commitment to providing comprehensive knowledge to law students in accordance with labor market requirements, and under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, and the Dean of the College of Law, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Sharifi,
the College of Law organized a legal field trip for fourth-year law students — supervised by the teaching staff — to the Federal Supreme Court in the capital, Baghdad.

The visit aimed to offer students practical insight into the procedures of filing constitutional lawsuits through direct interaction with the President, members, and administrative staff of the Federal Supreme Court.

During the visit, students received a detailed practical explanation of how constitutional lawsuits are filed, as well as an overview of the structure, jurisdiction, and sessions of the Federal Supreme Court. They also attended hearings for several constitutional cases.

On behalf of the College of Law, the delegation — represented by Dr. Falah Hassan Atiyah, the Associate Dean — presented a commemorative shield to the President of the Federal Supreme Court, along with words of thanks and appreciation to the Court's members and staff for the valuable knowledge they provided.
