Religious Authority, Tribes, and the Law: A Partnership to Achieve Community Security

The College of Law and Political Science at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (PBUH) organized a scientific seminar titled:"Religious Authority, Tribes, and the Law: A Partnership in Achieving Community Security", with the participation of a distinguished group of academic, security, and social figures. The seminar was presented by Brigadier Alaa Al-Hasnawi, Director of Karbala’s Criminal Investigation Department. He highlighted the role of the religious authority and tribal leaders in supporting the law and enhancing community security, emphasizing the importance of joint coordination among various entities to ensure societal stability. The seminar also featured extensive discussions on the mechanisms for achieving security through cooperation between security institutions, legal bodies, and tribal communities. Participants stressed the need to activate legal frameworks in a way that ensures justice and preserves social peace.                        

Bank Guardianship from a Legal Perspective

As part of its ongoing academic efforts to illuminate significant legal issues, the College of Law at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa organized a scientific symposium titled "Guardianship over Banks from a Legal Perspective." The event featured lectures by Dr. Ahmed Sabri and Assistant Professor Dr. Ishraq Al-Araji, Head of the Private Law Department at the College of Law, University of Karbala. The symposium explored the legislative and regulatory frameworks governing bank guardianship, providing an in-depth analysis of the legal foundations of this system and its impact on financial stability and banking institutions. The speakers also examined this system's challenges in a dynamic legal and economic environment, proposing solutions to enhance its effectiveness. The session was marked by rich academic engagement, with attendees posing insightful questions about the legal complexities surrounding the topic, fostering a specialized legal discussion. This symposium underscores the crucial role that academic institutions play in producing legal knowledge and offering analytical perspectives on various issues affecting legal and economic systems. Such discussions contribute to the effectiveness of legislation and help address contemporary challenges.

College of Law Organizes a Scientific Seminar in Collaboration with the College of Media The College of Law at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him), in cooperation with the College of Media / Department of Digital Media, organized a scientific seminar titled:"The Mechanism of Law Enactment (General Amnesty, Personal Status, Cybercrime)", with the participation of a distinguished group of professors from the fields of media and law                    

The Enforcement and Implementation of Criminal Laws

In Line with Legal Developments and Academic Research Enhancement, the College of Law at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University Held a Specialized Scientific Seminar Titled:"The Enforcement and Implementation of Criminal Laws" This seminar was organized in conjunction with the recent parliamentary vote on the General Amnesty Law and the significant legal controversies it raised regarding its implementation mechanisms and the constitutionality of challenging it before its official publication. 🎙 Lecturer: Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Jabir Saleh Main Topics of the Seminar: 📌 The legal framework for enforcing laws prior to their publication in the official gazette 📌 Constitutional guidelines for appealing laws before their enactment 📌 Legislative and political implications of the General Amnesty Law 📌 Challenges in implementing criminal laws amid evolving legal contexts Scholarly Discussions and In-Depth Legal Perspectives The seminar witnessed a large turnout of faculty members and law students. It featured in-depth academic discussions about the legal issues surrounding the enforcement of laws and their compatibility with constitutional principles. Analytical readings were also presented to shed light on the legal and political ramifications of this critical issue.

Violence Against Children

The College of Law held a scientific seminar titled "Violence Against Children" in cooperation with the Department of Scientific Affairs / Women's Empowerment Unit. The seminar was presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ghusq Khalil Ibrahim.

Enhancing the current state of agriculture

Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (Peace Be Upon Him) Strives to Improve the Agricultural Sector in Cooperation with the Karbala Agriculture Directorate As part of its commitment to providing community services, and in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, the Director of the Karbala Agriculture Directorate, the Head of the Local Union of Agricultural Cooperative Associations, and several members of the Iraqi Parliament, the College of Law held a panel discussion titled:"The Reality of Agriculture and Livestock in Holy Karbala and Its Legal Organization – Challenges and Development Opportunities." The session was moderated by the University's Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nawfal Al-Aaraji. The discussion focused on three main axes: The agricultural sector, The livestock sector, The legal framework surrounding them. The panel highlighted the severe neglect faced by the agricultural sector and emphasized the need to support feed producers and livestock breeders, considering it a highly important sector that has suffered a significant collapse due to the lack of feed and support. The discussion also covered key agricultural projects in Karbala, including poultry, table eggs, and fish farming. The session concluded with a set of recommendations recorded by the attending members of Parliament, who pledged to exert their efforts to overcome the obstacles facing agriculture and livestock development in Holy Karbala.            

The Legal Profession: Between Reality and Aspiration

Under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Sharifi, the College of Law organized a panel discussion titled "The Legal Profession: Between Reality and Aspiration." The session was presented by the President of the Iraqi Bar Association, Dr. Mohammad Saleh Al-Muhanna. During the discussion, which was moderated by Dr. Sattar Al-Ghazzi, a faculty member at the College of Law, the Bar President addressed how lawyers must adhere to the fundamentals of professional conduct in dealing with clients and the judiciary. He also promised a number of privileges for lawyers in the holy city of Karbala, such as issuing ID cards outside the regular schedule and allowing them to receive medical treatment at Al-Ataba Al-Hussainiya hospitals at half the cost. Dr. Al-Muhanna emphasized the importance of establishing a foundation for joint cooperation between the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa and the Bar Association. This includes using the university’s laboratories to host joint seminars and workshops, exchanging expertise, and facilitating tasks for law graduates. He also praised the students' behavior and commitment and, in conclusion, extended an official invitation to the university leadership to visit the headquarters of the Bar Association. For his part, the University's Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nawfal Al-Aaraji, spoke about the importance of investing in youth potential for the labor market and the university’s tireless efforts to support and implement strategic projects in the holy city of Karbala by attracting academic talent.      

The Legal Profession Between Law and Sharia

Under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, the College of Law, in cooperation with the Department of Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling, held a seminar titled “The Legal Profession Between Law and Sharia.” The seminar was delivered by His Eminence Sheikh Ahmad Al-Safi and moderated by Dr. Sattar Al-Ghazzi. His Eminence presented insights on the Islamic rulings related to the legal profession, discussing the relationship between the lawyer and the client, the contract binding them, and the religious rulings on various practical issues that lawyers or clients may encounter. Students expressed their gratitude for the clarification of these religious rulings, which contribute to their development and ethical grounding as future legal professionals.

Social Relations and Their Boundaries Within the University Campus

Social relations within the university campus are considered an essential part of student life and the academic community in general. However, there is a need to regulate these relationships and ensure that their boundaries are respected in accordance with university values and social ethics. This seminar aims to discuss the nature of social relations among students, the standards that should be considered to avoid conflicts with university values, and to promote a positive academic environment.

Program and Institutional Accreditation

Accreditation is considered one of the essential tools that ensures the quality of education in academic institutions and enhances the university's reputation at both the local and international levels. Program and institutional accreditation aims to evaluate the academic and administrative standards adhered to by educational institutions. Through this dialogue session, both program accreditation (which focuses on academic programs) and institutional accreditation (which addresses the institution as a whole) will be discussed, with a focus on their application mechanisms in academic institutions and how they impact the improvement of the quality of education and learning.
