As part of its commitment to providing community services, and in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, the Director of the Karbala Agriculture Directorate, the Head of the Local Union of Agricultural Cooperative Associations, and several members of the Iraqi Parliament, the College of Law held a panel discussion titled:
"The Reality of Agriculture and Livestock in Holy Karbala and Its Legal Organization – Challenges and Development Opportunities."

The session was moderated by the University's Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nawfal Al-Aaraji.

The discussion focused on three main axes:

  1. The agricultural sector,

  2. The livestock sector,

  3. The legal framework surrounding them.

The panel highlighted the severe neglect faced by the agricultural sector and emphasized the need to support feed producers and livestock breeders, considering it a highly important sector that has suffered a significant collapse due to the lack of feed and support. The discussion also covered key agricultural projects in Karbala, including poultry, table eggs, and fish farming.

The session concluded with a set of recommendations recorded by the attending members of Parliament, who pledged to exert their efforts to overcome the obstacles facing agriculture and livestock development in Holy Karbala.
